Yoga Instructors:

Anne WG (Thursdays)

Yoga is a personal journey with styles that can suite and benefits literally anybody and everybody. I teach gentle Hatha yoga classes that are inclusive of all ages, levels and body types.  My focus is on mindful and functional movement with sequencing that keeps the class interesting and challenging.  I make sure that every client has a safe practice, guiding with compassion, respect and humor, because we're all human after all.  I have been teaching yoga for one and a half years and love this part of my life.  I was first introduced to Yoga over 40 years ago when I was in college in Quebec City and practiced off and on through the years ahead.  It was a fantastic complement to the ski racing and karate competitions that I was involved with at the time.  When I was presented with the opportunity to take my course to become a yoga instructor, it was a decision that was so easy to take because of how Yoga enhances not only your physical health but also reduces stress, calms the mind and creates balance in your life.   I took my RYT 200 hour course with the Internal Peace Initiative lead by Alina Calinescu and Richard Wilkinson. My Certificates:

  • RYT-200
  • Restorative Yoga
  • Yin Yoga
  • Thai Yoga Bliss
  • Thai Massage
  • Meditation-Nidra and mindful meditation
  • Yoga for Arthritis

I am also an active member of the Boler Mountain community as level 2 ski instructor.  I’ve been teaching for 12 years.  Skiing was my first passion; I never get enough of it.  Boler has been part of my family life for over 25 years having brought up my children on this hill with skiing and snowboarding.

I look forward to being part of the Yoga program at Boler, such an exciting new addition!

Talea (Wednesdays)

I was first introduced to yoga almost five years ago by a friend. I tried it with a goal of stress reduction and found so much more! The more I learn about yoga, the more I learn that I have so much more to learn! A lifetime of study couldn’t grasp it all! The Pitta aspect of my personality finds that incredibly frustrating! Sufficed to say I have developed a deep love and passion for this practice and what it can bring to our life.  I love to share what I have learned with others.

The practice I aim to develop is one that offers a diverse all levels class, with emphasis on safety and fun.  I want to give participants an opportunity to experience  some mindfulness and meditation, while developing increased flexibility and strength and hopefully allow for learning a little something along the way. All this while enjoying the beauty of nature in a lovely setting at the top of Boler Mountain!

I graduated from my 200 hour training in the fall of 2020 through the Internal Peace Initiative led by Alina Calinescu and Richard Wilkinson and I have continued with additional training to further my own knowledge and practice. My certificates include:

  • RYT-200
  • Yoga Nidra Meditation
  • Yin Yoga
  • Pelvic Floor Yoga, Back Care Yoga, Yoga for Healthy Aging
  • Trauma Informed Yoga
  • Ayurveda and Yoga of the Subtle Body

Our family is often found on the hills of Boler during the winter season. I am fortunate and grateful to be part of this community. I look forward to seeing you on your mat, on the mountain!

Namaste, Talea

Jo (Tuesdays)

I found my first yoga class nestled in the rolling hills of the English Peak District during my first pregnancy and quickly became an advocate of the physical and mental health benefits for absolutely everyone regardless of age or mobility. Fast forward fifteen years and I have practiced in the UK, mainland Europe and, of course right here in ‘the other’ London. Alongside my regular practice, I am studying locally through the Internal Peace Initiative to receive my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification, led for the past ten years by Senior Yoga Trainer and Yoga Therapist Alina Calinsecu in the lineage of Judith Hanson Lasater.

I am passionate about using yoga as a tool to promote longevity by improving mobility, balance and strength whilst reducing stress and finding ease. Yoga at the mountain welcomes all levels and being guided outside in nature with a backdrop of the best view in London is a unique and unrivalled green season experience. Whether you would like to drop in once or cultivate a regular practice, I invite you to join the growing Boler yoga community where you will be guided joyfully through well paced hatha yoga sequences, breath work and, of course, some peaceful sunset relaxation.

Lee

I started practicing yoga 25+ years ago, and it has been part of my life ever since!  I continue to be energized and motivated by the incredible benefits of yoga, both physically and emotionally.  Taking time to practice is an act of self-care, which I absolutely love sharing with others!

I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2020; and the 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2023 through the Internal Peace Initiative in London, Ontario.

I have been teaching weekly at FitClub Bootcamps since 2020; and at Riverbend Golf Community since 2023.

My classes focus on stretching, balance, flexibility, and promoting a sense of peace and calm.

Looking forward to seeing you on the mountain!
